Topic: Servers not available (Cannot resolve hostname)

I have been using the UK VPN servers with no problems until the last couple of days.

At the moment I get the error "Fri Apr  4 21:57:43 2025 RESOLVE: Cannot resolve host address: uk1.freeopenvpn.online:443 (No such host is known).

Is anybody else having this problem?

I have tried downloading the config file TCP and UDP again. I have also tried connecting the Ukraine servers, with the same problem resolving addresses. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software again.

It is a shame because it used to work very well and was a good service.

Thanks

David

Re: Servers not available (Cannot resolve hostname)

Same story as of couple of days ago. None of the servers are available. Here are the messages

Cannot resolve host address: nl1.freeopenvpn.online:443 (No such host is known).
Could not determine IPv4/IPv6 protocol

Assume that its being blocked by ISP since did not install any software that could affect the settings, exept for the win update on the 2nd of April.

Re: Servers not available (Cannot resolve hostname)

I don't think it is the ISP blocking the address, because I have tried two ISPs here. I have also tried using a different VPN which can't resolve the address either. Also your ISP is different to mine I assume (I am in Spain). I am using Simyo/Orange.

I think it is the "FreeOpenVpn" service which has the error. But this would affect everyone, and I'm not sure how you can contact their technical support.

Re: Servers not available (Cannot resolve hostname)

I also have the same issue. I am in the UK using Vodafone as ISP and I get the cannot resolve host error for hostname ru1.freeopenvpn.online

Re: Servers not available (Cannot resolve hostname)

I'm getting same error,  "Cannot resolve host address"

I've tried 4 different countries.
I've tried UDP and TCP.  (As well as re-downloading the config files)
